Domain registration services are provided through Rimu Hosting’s “NetValue Hosting”.

NetValue Hosting has two online portals, one for billing (https://netvaluehosting.nz/cp/) and MyPanel for the technical management of domains (https://mypanel.co.nz/) and other Hosting & Email services.

All domains registered through MyPanel are provided free DNS service via NetValue Hosting’s DNS servers (ns1.nameserverz.com & ns2.nameserverz.com).  However, you can opt to use an alternate DNS provider for your domain name if desired.

• Rimu Hosting supports non-NZ domains however non-NZ domains tend to be more manually managed and NetValue Hosting perform actions on your behalf. What is required can vary based on TLD.

      • (note TLDs com/org/net can be registered directly from MyPanel)
    • Transfer in
    • Name Server re-delegation (changing name servers)
    • Obtain transfer code (Auth-Code) to transfer out, promptly supplied to the domain name’s Registrant.

Please note, that for non-NZ domains where some actions are performed on-behalf these are low frequency change points.  Most often set and forget is the rule of thumb.

MyPanel Quick Guide:

• Edit MyPanel Managed DNS:
  • Domains -> Click the domain name itself -> View/Edit DNS Records
• Perform MyPanel managed domain registry actions:
  • Register
    • Domains -> Add -> Register
  • Transfer:
    • Domains -> Add -> Transfer
  • Transfer code:
    • Domains -> Click the domain name itself -> “Registry information” -> View -> “Email Auth-Code”
  • Re-delegate:
    • Domains -> Click the domain name itself -> “Registry information” -> Edit -> scroll down and update appropriately.
  • Renew:
    • Automated, or follow instruction in renewal reminder email.
  • Cancel:
    • Domains -> Click the domain name itself -> click “Allow domain to expire”
